Office of the Dean

  • The Southern Area Health Education Center (SoAHEC) held a presentation on oral care and healthy eating for seniors at the Munson Center on April 25. The event served 51 participants and is part of on-going health education initiatives for the center.

School of Nursing

  • School of Nursing student, Viridiana Arellano, was awarded the Pi Eta Sigma scholarship from the Honors College in the spring, 2016 semester. Aggie nurses on the move!

School of Social Work        

  • BSW student, Ada Salazar, was honored by the College as our spring 2016 Outstanding Graduate last week. Aside from being a stellar student, Ada is an active member in the HSS Student Council and also serves as a Student Ambassador.  Ada will still be on campus next year, as she starts her Masters of Social Work degree this summer.  Congratulations, Ada!

Department of Public Health Sciences

  • The Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH) now recognizes the Department of Public Health Sciences Bachelors of Public Health program as CEPH Accredited. The BPH degree program joins our already accredited Masters of Public Health degree.
